Position: Oncology Social Worker
As part of the social services support team at Willamette Valley Cancer Institute, Amberdawn Krupicka focuses her time and attention on meeting the individual needs of patients while connecting them to resources.
Collaborative and responsive, Amberdawn is empowered by her own experiences as a cancer survivor and strives to help ease the struggles and worries that patients face.
“Every patient has a right to their own process through this disease. I believe that offering them a positive attitude, compassion and support can make a big difference.”
A member of the National Associations of Social Workers, Oncology Social Workers, and Hospice and Palliative Care, Amberdawn also volunteers with the Egan Warming Centers and the Courageous Kids Program, providing grief support to children and their families.
She devotes her free time to her family, friends and her kitty, Gracie. Her passion for the outdoors includes a variety of activities, from hiking to scuba diving, as well as traveling and seeking new adventures.
