Motivated and empathetic, Choolwe Virginia Mupunga pushes herself to provide the best possible support she can for patients. As a nurse practitioner, she is a strong believer that patient care is a partnership between provider and patient.
“I really enjoy meeting different people and getting to know what they do and their life story,” she says. “I don’t want to know them as a patient only. This helps and guides me to give individualistic care.”
Lead by her compassion for everyone she cares for, Virginia is constantly inspired by her patients.
“I love to see how patients are so thankful and keep positive even in the middle of the storm,” she says. “It gives me joy to see how they look at life, and it teaches me to be thankful.”
Outside of work, Virginia enjoys traveling and exploring with her family. In her spare time, she loves to sing, try new recipes, be involved in her church and enjoy Oregon’s beautiful scenery.
