An advocate for team care, Wendy honors the unique relationship in oncology between providers and patients and respects the choices and beliefs of everyone she meets.
“When patients feel scared and unsure, I want to help them feel cared for, while finding the answers they need,” she says.
As a physician assistant, Wendy works alongside oncologists to provide treatment for patients by educating patients and their families, prescribing medications, reviewing lab work and helping those who are struggling with the side effects of treatment.
Positive and encouraging, she respects and values her teammates and patients. As someone who appreciates the significance of a support system, Wendy wants her patients to feel empowered and encouraged .
“The best part of my job is the feeling of helping people, especially when they are struggling, to help bring them clarity and support,” Wendy says.
Outside of work, Wendy enjoys biking, walking her dogs, cooking vegetarian meals, traveling, hiking and exercising.
