Cancer Support Groups at Willamette Valley Cancer Institute

We are excited to start up our support groups again this January (2024). We realize these groups create an important touch point for our patients and their caregivers.

Living With Cancer: a cancer support group that provides a supportive environment for individuals living with cancer to share experiences, emotions, and coping strategies. Members offer mutual encouragement, understanding, and practical advice, fostering a sense of community and reducing feelings of isolation. The group may also feature guest speakers, educational resources, and activities to enhance overall well-being during the cancer journey. Call 541-683-5001, please ask to speak to any member of our social work team for information or to register.
2nd and 4th Mondays, 3:00 – 4:30 pm
In-person meeting (520 Country Club, small conference room, main floor of clinic)
Starts January 8, 2024

Caregiver Support Group: a caregiver support group offers a space for those caring for individuals with cancer to connect, share challenges, and exchange caregiver tips. The group provides emotional support, practical guidance, and resources to help caregivers navigate the complexities of their role. Through shared experiences, members gain a sense of understanding and solidarity, promoting both emotional well-being and effective caregiving strategies. Call 541-683-5001, please ask to speak to any member of our social work team for information or to register.
